Judine Somerville is the recipient of the Stephen A. Goldberg Award as well as the F. Lammot Belin Arts Scholarship and has inspired, empowered, educated and performed in five original Broadway musicals including the eight-time Tony-Award winning Musical HAIRSPRAY, where she was part of the singing trio sensation The Dynamites. She also reprised her role for NBC's HAIRSPRAYLIVE directed by Kenny Leon and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell with an amazing group of performers including: Harvey Fierstein, Martin short, Jennifer Hudson, Kristin Chenoweth, Ariana Grande, Andrea Martin, Sean Hayes and Rosie O'Donnell.
Judine is a former Rockette at Radio City, and s an accomplished musical theater performer with an impressive list of credits. She is also a motivational speaker who is invited to speak around the country at professional events, schools and colleges. Using her personal story of growing up in an underserved community in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn and making it to the Great White Way.

She was the Assistant Choreographer to Otis Sallid on the Fox Searchlight Movie Musical, Black Nativity Starring Forest Whitaker, Angela Basset, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige and introducing Jacob Lattimore.
